FAQ

1) How are your signature tea blends created?

A - We start with an idea of what ailment we need support with or what benefits we'd live to see from a tea blend, we then do a TON of research - relying heavily on Indigenous American Ethnobotany (knowledge of plants), Chinese Herbalism, Ayurveda (Ancient Indian Medicine), and European Folk Healing. Once we know what the ancestors used, we get a hold of everything we can and start testing it on ourselves. Once we find the herbs we feel confident give us the results we were looking for we blend in culinary herbs, tea and/or florals to create a balanced, delicious tea.

2) How are your teas flavored so deliciously?

A - Naturally! We never use any artificial or added anything. We use the highest quality ingredients from around the world and take great care to create our teas to be delicious - when you taste something it's because that ingredient is in the blend in the form of a dried herb, tea or flower. We'll never add scented oils, flavoring or sugar. 

3) Where do you get your herbs and teas from?

A - We buy directly from farmers in North, Central and South America whenever possible. For European, African and Asian ingredients we work with an importer who specializes in Fair Trade (meaning it was harvested without slave or child labor and the farmer was paid ethically).

4) How is your Kombucha made?

A - We brew and bottle our Kombucha in a safety inspected commercial kitchen. We use a base of Darjeeling Black Tea (the champagne of teas) and organic cane sugar, then puree or juice fresh fruit to add for flavor. Thats it! We never add any vinegars, artificial flavors, preservatives or colors.

5) Do you have "traditional tea"

A - We do! Under 'unblended' you'll find White, Green, Black and herbal options that you'll likely be familiar with, along with some exotic apothecary herbs. We also have Ceremonial Grade Matcha and create 'Custom Blends' where you can choose whether or not your blend includes teas, floras and herbs - we will happily make you a classic tea like 'Earl Grey', without any artificial or added flavors, but using actual bergamot citrus peel and the finest black teas from around the globe.

6) Why is there's a big difference in the price per serving between your sizes?

A - Our pricing is always fair and transparent. The larger quantity you buy the better value you get. Our cost of packaging and shipping does not change much based on size, so when you buy a smaller size you're paying a higher percentage on packaging. Once you find a blend you love we recommend buying it in bulk, and subscribing for further savings.

7) What if I'm not happy with my purchase?

A - Our top priority is your satisfaction. If you tried one of our products and it just wasn't your thing, we will gladly replace it so you can find what fits your needs. If you'd rather get a refund, we'll send you a return label and once we receive your return we'll issue you a refund directly to your original payment.

8) What kind of safety precautions do you take to in preparing your products?

A - Your safety is a priority to us! We take all CDC recommendations for reducing the spread of any illness in our blending and fulfillment facilities, including proper sanitization of work spaces, washing hands regularly, wearing surgical face masks and gloves; and no one ever works sick - ever.
